New Impressions
Each year the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum has their "New Impressions" juried exhibition to showcase the latest and most innovative letterpress work. Since 2018 I've designed both the poster and catalog. Since 2019, I've collaborated with the museum's program officer Stephanie Carpenter on the poster design. Typically I design the poster digitally in Nashville, then Stephanie adapts it for letterpress and prints it at the museum. For the design each year I typically try to take elements of traditional letterpress and book arts and put a more contemporary spin on them. The exhibition catalogs can be viewed here and here.
